Lemax's Grand Carousel
Share
Surprise! We're doing Christmas in August now! That title isn't quite as catchy though. In an effort to continue to spread the Christmas Cheer throughout the summer, we are extending our musings about Christmas with Lemax's Grand Carousel. Carousels tend to capture the magic of childhood in a special way and this one is no exception.
The Grand Carousel has been a part of the town of Caddington for as long as anyone can remember. Ownership has passed down from generation to generation over the years, but it still stands and plays its music for the children and anyone who wants a ride. Everyone has lost count of how many times it has been painted, the change is welcome though and it shows the rest of the town that someone still cares for this landmark. It gives them hope that their children and grandchildren will be able to enjoy the ride as much as they did.
This is definitely one of our favorite pieces from Lemax. It has a Christmas-y theme, but it can also be a great display piece. Since there are no overt Christmas decorations, it can make a good end table piece or a great night light in a kids bedroom. It does require one outlet, but we love the switch that is directly on the piece instead of being a separate cord like most pieces.

And, as always, happy village building ;)
