Lemax's Victorian Carols
Share
Caroling is one holiday activity that has a complicated history. Most of the time it is portrayed as cold, wet and annoying. Depending on where you live, it might not be the safest way to spend your time. However, it can be a very rewarding bonding activity to spread Christmas cheer to your neighbors. Thankfully, Lemax has given us the ability to relive simpler times when groups could roam the street and sing fun songs.
The great part about this piece is that it can be used for just about any Lemax village. Their wardrobe allows them to fit in perfectly with the Victorian-style villages. However, it's easy to imagine that this family have coordinated their outfits and that they do this every year. The matriarch of the family is a music teacher and has been able to teach the whole family to sing. Since they get so much joy out of caroling, a decision was made to go around town and spread the joy to as many as would accept it.
This piece has a wonderful little animation to it that really sets it apart. It is simple and effective in conveying the life of your Lemax village. Unfortunately, it doesn't have any sound to it, but since most of our Lemax villages all have a house or two that plays songs, we can easily set this one up next to a Sights & Sounds piece to create the illusion without creating more noise.
