Return of The Pit and Pendulum

Return of The Pit and Pendulum

This week, we continue our dive into Lemax's carnival rides with one that pushes the envelope.  It is one of the most elaborate, yet simple pieces we have.  While that may seem like a contradiction, this piece exemplifies how that can be done to perfection.  The motion is simple, but the piece is very large and has quite an interesting reference as the name.

Lemax's The Pit and the Pendulum

Once the carnival shows up for the Halloween celebration, there is one ride that stands out by its construction and grandeur.  This ride is a simple pendulum ride, but with a literature based twist.  Referencing the classic Edgar Allen Poe short story, the ride does the standard pendulum motion, but the riders are on the titular Pendulum that lowers toward the narrator of the short story.  Thankfully, much like the short story, the Pendulum will never fall upon the unfortunate victim underneath, but in this case that doesn't really matter since he has been dead for quite some time.

This Lemax piece is becoming a quick favorite for us and our customers, as we completely sold out right now.  Referencing one of the greatest authors in a fun way that will make this a piece that stands the test of time.  It not only plays the sounds of the riders, but the spooky theme music that has become synonymous with these pieces.  As with most Sights & Sounds pieces, it does require one outlet, but you will want to make room for this one.  It can be the perfect centerpiece or in the background to make the "skyline" of your display incredibly spooky.  Make sure to sign up to be notified when we get restocked!
