Roll the Bones
Share
"Roll the bones" is historically a phrase that refers to rolling dice at the Craps table. The masterful band Rush wrote a song about it that you can listen to here. It's a phrase that has become synonymous with letting fate decide and dealing with the outcome once it happens. Today, we will be talking about some of the bone figurines that Lemax has rolled out.
Gravestones with pun-y names are always a good time. It's probably the best part about waiting in line at Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. We got one of our own here, Mr. Cylas Ulysses Soon, and it looks like he was a good friend of the Grim Reaper. Either that or Death is making sure that he stays in the ground.
Here we have an adorable, romantic piece. Two skeletons taking their skele-dog out for a walk under the rising moon. If you really want to complete the ambiance, we also have #44136 Lighted Moon, but it isn't really necessary. It still goes well with our previous entry and our next entry all by themselves.
Our final piece that we are highlighting this week is the Tombstone Tree. This tree brings the whole scene together with it's eeriness and solemnity. It's a very simple tree, but there are bones buried beneath it, which seems to have caused it to grow a little crooked. There is one bird that enjoys the tree though.
All these pieces are less than fifteen dollars and come together to create a great little scene without taking up too much space. None of them require power either, so you can set them up anywhere! If you would like to add them to your Spooky Town village, they integrate perfectly with any other pieces.
