Spring & Summer with Lemax products

One of my favorite things during the holidays is being able to set up my Lemax holiday displays. It actually pains me to take them down, not only because it is a pain to re-box but also it makes me sad that I no longer can display my beautiful villages.
So when I first came across the Plymouth Corners collection on the Lemax Website, I just KNEW Gift Spice absolutely needed to have this collection in our line up. Which is why we included a Seashell Cove collection so that we can extend our customer's ability to display village collectibles throughout the year.
So if you haven't noticed yet, many of the Lemax houses now don't have wreaths or Christmas decor on them. Some of them come with removable wreaths which is my personal favorite because then I can reuse the same house through out the year. My personal favorite from the Plymouth Corners collection this at Lemax is the 95482 Seawind Cottage. It's a really cute cottage that would look great in my nautical display by my entryway table. I love using the blue pebbles and seashells that you can pick up from any craft store. It really gives the whole display a "beach"
vibe.
In our Gift Spice collection this year, we have 85339 Skip's Surf Shop. This is one-of-a-kind piece from Lemax. Just looking at this piece alone without any sort of display makes me want to go surfing (and I don't even surf!). This house has a ton of little details from the surfboards to the tiki-looking awnings. I'm super excited about setting this piece up this year.
Some quick tips for summer displays:
1. Use some summer nature elements! Make this fun and work in sand, seashells, and rocks. This helps to really take your display to a new level.
2. Play around with color schemes. Even though blue and white is the go to for nautical themes, work in some yellow and bright hues like pink and neon colors. Spring and summer is all about colors! Have fun with it.
3. Think about repainting some old Lemax houses. This is a personal favorite of mine. I love taking retired older buildings or some thrift store finds and repainting them to make them my summer village!
