Pumpkins! Pumpkins! Pumpkins!

Pumpkins! Pumpkins! Pumpkins!

Is there anything more festive than pumpkins?  They signal the beginning of Autumn, the time of harvest and celebration.  The last gasp of life before the cold of winter.  They have become synonymous with Fall and Halloween ever since Irish immigrants came to the United States and found them here.  By simply carving them up, they created a new tradition that has lasted several hundred years.  Modern times have turned this simple tradition into a rather unique art medium.  Some of which can be viewed on our Pinterest board here.  Now follow us as we outline a simple and great setup that can be easily created around your pumpkin decorations.

Spooky Hollow's Pumpkin Patch is the perfect centerpiece to begin with.  This piece from Lemax is what the Spooky Town collection is all about.  The zombie family picking up their yearly pumpkin from the skeleton owner, making sure to grab a quick photo op at the hay bales.  The owner's window lights up, as does his green spotlights and the light bar above his door and window.  Just the right amount of spooky and fun.  This piece does require one outlet, so make sure that you set it up near enough to an outlet to be able to plug it in.

As discussed in our last blog post, the small figurines bring the whole display alive with the amount of detail they create.  This first one is the Stacked Spooky Pumpkins.  This is a very simple figurine made up of three pumpkins all with their own personality.  The top one doesn't seem to happy being up that high, the middle one is pretty pleased with his lot in life and the bottom seems rather unhappy to be squished.

If you're looking for something a little less spooky, Buy Local, Set of 3 is exactly what you're looking for.  This piece is a beautiful little number with a ton of detail.  It is a perfect Farmer's Market replica with all kinds of produce, ripe from the harvest.  It's three separate pieces that can be organized in whatever way fits best.

Finally, we have Loose Maple Leaves, which help add some special static scenery.  These leaves can be scattered around your display to bring those great Fall colors inside without using leaves that will decay and crumble.  These leaves coupled with some scenic grass, similar to this product from Michaels, will complete the scene.  Simple products like these are very easy details that really bring the whole display together.

These pieces are themed great for Autumn and Halloween.  They're very simple and create an awesome little display that can go with other indoor decorations to elevate your next party during the Fall.  Make sure to follow our Pinterest account for more decorating ideas throughout the year.
